Should we be grateful for the NHS?
I know I should be grateful for NHS but it's difficult when a 100 year old man's left waiting to see a dr for 5 hours in A&E on a fri night.— Mia Fernandez (@miafernandez) June 21, 2013
A disturbing fact of life in the UK is that the NHS is seen in a quasi-religious light. This protects it from valid criticism. These tweets, from a long term follower whose testimony I trust, struck a very personal chord with me. I've posted them here to give them a wider audience. Nick Margerrison.
So, last night it seems the a&e staff saw fit to wheel a 100 year old man outside and leave him there after midnight on a friday night.— Mia Fernandez (@miafernandez) June 22, 2013
